Helping Keep K9s Safe
Blue Heron Agility Association of Delaware’s president, Carole Krivanich, and club members presented the Salisbury Police Department with a $4,000 check to purchase a HOT-N-POP system for its newest K9 vehicle.
The HOT-N-POP system is a vital piece of equipment for K9 vehicles. It monitors a vehicle’s interior temperature. According to the manufacturer, “Under alarm conditions, the unit activates an S.O.S. horn honk signal, siren, light-bar activation, and dual window drop to immediately equalize the vehicle’s internal temperature”.
The two K9 officers who accepted the donation are Officer Muniz and her partner Chaos, along with Officer Derasmo and his partner Zanzi of the Salisbury Police Department.
Salisbury Maryland Police Officer Derasmo and Zanzi (L) and Officer Muniz and Chaos (R) accept a check from Blue Heron Agility Association members and club president Carole Krivanich at a recent agility trial.
