Our Instructors

  • Terri Eyer, CCMT

Terri started competing with her miniature schnauzers Dewey and Fenwick in Rally, Barn Hunt, scent work,  and obedience years ago.  Terri and wife, Sharon Munshour, have been instructing scent work for approximately 10 years at Breakaway Action Dogs in Maryland. Terri is a C-WAGS and AKC scent judge.

Originally from Frederick, Md., after retiring, it was always the plan to move to the Eastern Shore.  Terri and Sharon purchased a house in Milford, DE. and are enjoying life with their 3 miniature Schnauzers, Fenwick, Bentley and Ozzie.  They have since added fast cat to the list of dog sports with Ozzie holding the #2 miniature schnauzer spot in the USA for several years in a row.  Terri and Sharon, working as a duo, love to pass their knowledge and love of scent work onto others hoping they too will find the bond you share with your dog when competing together.  It's not about getting that qualifying ribbon but learning to read your dog and become a team is what scent work is all about, says Terri.  Terri has recently added Fetch judge to her list of retirement jobs and is a certified canine sports massage therapist. Sharon is also a C-WAGS scent judge.

  • Sandy Moody

Sandy Moody started in agility in 1999 and hasn’t looked back since. She enjoys all aspects of agility, including competing, training, instructing, and doing seminars, and is an AKC agility judge. Sandy has been teaching all levels of agility classes for many years.

Sandy competed in agility with her German Shorthaired Pointer Rosie, earning national recognition as the number 1 GSP in agility one year and being the first GSP to earn MACHs 3- 7.

Sandy has since moved to Poodles and spent several years running Reign-a 12” poodle, who earned MACH 3 before she retired due to an injury. She is now running Bragg, her 16” crazy poodle who recently earned his first MACH.

  • Tammy Sparks

I grew up riding and showing horses and started training and giving lessons when I was in the 8th grade continuing through college. Life drew me away from the horses and I missed them terribly until I started doing agility with my first vizsla in 2007. She was a dream Novice A dog and by 2009 she was the Vizsla Club of America #1 Agility Dog. We shared an incredible journey. Now I am the first to say that it was all her. I had so much to learn and since then I have been blessed with three more incredible vizslas; each one challenging me with their differences. Over the years we’ve earned 11 Machs, many trips to Nationals and Invitationals. a spot in finals at AKC Nationals, and titles in several other venues.

I have been lucky to train with some really amazing instructors and am constantly trying to improve my skills. My goals are to provide a positive fun environment, challenge you to strive a little higher, and to treat each team as an individual. My expectation is that you bring a positive attitude to class. My number one priority is a happy dog and often that requires leaving negativity at the door. I absolutely love teaching and am grateful to BHAD for providing me the opportunity to work with great dogs and their humans.
