BHAD is a group of dog sports enthusiasts. Whether you are a seasoned competitor or looking for a new activity for you and your dog, you’ve come to the right place!
We offer classes, seminars, and trials in multiple disciplines. Our members come in all shapes and sizes - old, young, in between, four paws and two feet, with one thing in common – teamwork. We’re known for agility. But we’re so much more.
BHAD hosts four AKC sanctioned agility trials each year - May, June, September, and October. Trials are held at Heartland Equestrian in Frederica, Delaware which is a full-sized arena allowing for the setup of two rings or one ISC style course (June trial).

With equipment and facilities in Georgetown, Ellendale, and Frederica, BHAD can accommodate a variety of training opportunities. We offer classes for all levels from foundation to masters as well as seminars led by world class trainers. There are plenty of opportunities for independent, individual and small group learning right here in southern Delaware.
We vest dogs in Delaware
Blue Heron Agility Association of Delaware has provided funding for protective dog vests for several local police departments and the Delaware State Police. The club’s goal is to have all canine partners in the community outfitted with the best equipment available.
