New Training Opportunities in 2020

May 16 and May 17

Paula Goss returns for 3 seminars of 4 hrs each. Paula is an expert at teaching distance work. She has been competing in NADAC (a different agility forum) and has competed at high end trials successfully (Nadac Nationals). Paula is very down to earth with a great sense of humor. Several of us have taken private lessons from her over the years to work on handling techniques. We will break the dogs down into two groups on Saturday: one session will be for our newer dogs (competing and not competing). Requirement will be that dogs can perform all equipment except weaves. The second group will be for our advanced dogs that are competing at higher levels.
On Sunday: We have asked Paula to work a FAST class, teaching the most effective way to achieve the send bonus in the AKC FAST class.
Following the morning session on Sunday, the thought is to offer ACT 1 and ACT 2 competition. So something for everyone!
The good news about this event is that you don’t have to compete in FAST to find this weekend valuable for you. Anyone who has a dog that runs faster than them, or you need to be able to lead out to a point that makes you successful on course, then this class is for you. If you need to be able to send you dog to do equipment while you get  into place for the next obstacle or two then this will be for you.

October 3 and October 4

John Nys is coming to BHAD. John is a much sought after agility instructor and we are so pleased to get him. John is so popular because he does not teach a single method but works with the qualities of you and your dog.He works to develop your team as the best team you can be using your strengths and working through your weaknesses. We will be developing a game plan closer to this date but will be sure that we offer something for all levels.
More to come on costs and schedules as soon as we figure that out. So MARK YOUR CALENDARS so you are in town for these two great training opportunities!!!!
We will have to limit working spots to 8 teams for each session. We will open to BHAD members for one day and then to non club members after that. We will have unlimited auditing spots for each session. Hope you all will consider this as a great opportunity close to home!
